2014 Connections Conference

Diane Park - Wednesday, October 08, 2014

The Connections Conference was a huge success! On September 27, more than 130 people came together at Martin's West in Baltimore County to experience hope, understanding and a sense of community. Families made "connections" with information, resources and each other. Michelle Zabel from the Institute for Innovation, University of Maryland School of Social Work, and Debbie Phelps, Baltimore's "swim Mom," both spoke about the importance of family voice in their keynote presentations. They were joined by numerous partners and professionals who shared their expertise and support to families through workshops and information tables.

Thanks to our Sponsors!

We want to acknowledge our sponsors who helped to make this event possible: Behavioral Health System Baltimore (Platinum); Associated Catholic Charities, Child & Families Services Division, and the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, University of Maryland (Gold); and the University of Maryland School of Social Work, Maryland Choices, ValueOptions, and the Maryland Chapter of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (Silver). Their generous support, and that of our many other sponsors, helped to make this conference possible, and allowed us to provide families from across the state with scholarships.
