On March 21, MCF was pleased to recognize its 11th class of Family Leadership Institute (FLI) graduates. This intensive 60-hour, six-weekend training experience is designed to train caregivers to become advocates in their communities and at the state level. The 2015 class was comprised of 24 caregivers from across the state, including great-grandmothers, grandmothers, guardians, foster parents, dads and moms. Participants came from Western Maryland, Baltimore City and the Eastern Shore, to name just a few locations.
Thank you to the Maryland State Department of Education and Maryland Behavioral Health Administration for their support of this program, to our fabulous presenters, and to our partners throughout the state who helped us recruit participants for the class of 2015.
