As a recipient of the 2026 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health, the Maryland Coalition of Families (MCF) is proud to be featured in Mental Health America’s 2026 Report highlighting employers that are leading the way in workplace mental health and wellness. The report draws on data from all 2026 Bell Seal recipients and showcases best practices across three key areas: strengthening connection, designing responsive benefits, and supporting accommodation and recovery.
Among the practices recognized is MCF’s commitment to regular peer consultation groups, which enable frontline direct-service staff to collaborate, share insights, and support one another through challenging situations and issues related to their lived experience. For MCF’s statewide virtual workforce, these groups play a vital role in building connection, fostering teamwork, and creating a culture of mutual support. By investing in these opportunities, MCF helps reduce burnout and secondary trauma while promoting staff well-being and resilience.
