MCF staff members facilitate support groups and family activities across the state. 

**Due to COVID-19, many support groups have moved to Zoom, an online and phone conferencing service. Note that some support groups are open to all families in Maryland and some serve specific counties or regions. All are offered at no cost to families.**

Maryland Statewide Group

Finding Hope Support Group

This group provides a safe place to share experiences and receive support and understanding. Together, we can put a loved one’s substance use into perspective and set healthy boundaries. We will also discuss any barriers related to COVID-19.

Meets Every Tuesday, 1:00 – 2:30 pm

Our Healing Hearts: Online Grief Support Group for Parents Who Have Lost a Child to Overdose

Child loss to substance overdose is a unique and isolating situation. We are a grief support group for any parent coping with this heartbreaking experience.

Meets the Fourth Tuesday of every month, 12:00 – 1:30 pm.

Alone Together: Online Meet Ups for Young Adults 18-26 years

These free online meet-ups create a safe space for honest conversation and peer support for young adults 18-26 years. They are hosted by Taking Flight, a group of young adults who themselves have struggled with behavioral health challenges.

When someone you care about has a problem with gambling, it is difficult to reach out for support and help.

This group is facilitated by an MCF staff member who has struggled with this in her own family. It is a safe, confidential space to share, learn, and give and receive support.
